Children's History Workshop: Easter Eggs - for 9 to 12 year olds
Wednesday 16 April, 2 pm to 3 pm
and repeated on Thursday 17 April, 11 am to 12 pm
Join Dublin’s Historian in Residence for Children Dervilia Roche for this free, interactive workshop. Learn about Easter traditions from Ireland and other countries, and find out how the tradition of chocolate eggs came about. Decorate your own egg and take part in an Easter egg hunt in the garden.
Three-day camps and workshops over Easter
We have creative camps and workshops for children and young people up to 16 years old. Camps are two to three hours per day over three days.
Children and young people can learn how to make, create and turn their ideas into art.
3-day Creative Embroidery Workshop - for 13 to 16 year olds
Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 April, 1 pm to 4 pm
This Easter, join artist Sarah Bracken Soper where you can learn simple embroidery stitches and design and make your own fun and vibrant textile portrait. Expect a stitching circle environment, with chats and snacks. Sarah's own embroidery work has been highly commended by the National Gallery of Ireland.
3-day Young Artists' Camp - for 9 to 11 year olds
Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 April, 11 am to 1 pm
Join artist Kate Escolin and learn how to develop your ideas from initial sketches to finished artworks. Explore new projects each day, from zine making and comic making to illustration and character design. This will be a creative space where mistakes are welcomed and exploration is encouraged!
3-day Young Artists' Camp - for 12 to 15 year olds
Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 April, 2 pm to 4 pm

Cost
There is a small charge of €10 for the three days for one participant, or €15 for two or more participants in the same family, to go towards the cost of equipment and refreshments.
Places are very limited, so advanced booking is advised.
