Local food producers and chefs come together for the Eat the Streets Festival.
The Eat the Streets Festival is back for its third year! This free, family-friendly food event will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023, from 12pm to 5pm at Richmond Barracks in Inchicore, Dublin 8.
The festival will explore Dublin's rich food history and bring together chefs, food experts, growers, and producers to cook, create, and discover our food culture. There will be free workshops for children and the young at heart, as well as a series of After-Lunch Chats to share ideas and talk about how food can be a solution to climate change.
Some of the activities that will be taking place at the festival include:
Cook-alongs with chefs who will teach you how to cook with Irish produce and share their tips on climate action in the kitchen.
Food workshops for all ages, where you can learn how to chop like a chef, mill grain into flour, or turn your urban garden into a food oasis.
After-lunch chats with food experts and producers to discuss topics such as food waste, community growing, and food sharing.
A Long Table Dinner, where you can enjoy a delicious meal with fellow food lovers and learn more about the Dublin Food Strategy.
And, of course, plenty of delicious food to sample from local vendors.
The Eat the Streets Festival is a great opportunity to learn about Dublin's food history, meet local food producers, and enjoy a day of delicious food and fun.
