Richmond Barracks

September at the Barracks

At Richmond Barracks we work with creative partners across the city to bring a host of events to the area throughout the year. Join us this September for a series of community events celebrating making, food and creativity.

September at the Barracks is a celebration of our work with cultural partners to bring together our community to share ideas, learn new skills and enjoy local produce and products.  Our Cultural Spaces team work with a wide array of communities and organisations to host and produce events celebrating culture in all its forms.

Dublin Maker

Dublin Maker is a free to attend, community run event, which will be held on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September in Richmond Barracks from 10 am until 6 pm. This is their second year joining us to bring together a community of makers sharing their ideas, works in progress and to celebrate the maker movement.

Moving this event to Richmond Barracks in 2023 allowed more people to come and experience the wide array of invention and creativity on display. This year's event has been expanded to two days to enable even more people to attend.

There will be a host of makers telling you how they come up with their ideas, showing you their projects and products and getting you involved in creating your own experiments. We will have everything from Robot Wars to the chance to make your own Lego creations alongside some great food and incredible inventions.
