Richmond Barracks is gearing up for a jam-packed September with a variety of events that celebrate creativity, history, and food.


Dublin Maker - Saturday 2 September - 10 AM to 6 PM - Admission is free

Dublin Maker is a free-to-attend, community-run event celebrating creativity, innovation, and making. It is an excellent opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about the maker movement. The event will feature various exhibits, workshops, and activities, including robots and electronics, 3D printing, woodworking, textiles, food and drink, music and performance, and children's activities. There will also be opportunities to meet and learn from other makers and to get involved in hands-on activities.

Harvest Fair - Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 September - 11 AM to 5 PM - Admission is free

The Harvest Fair at Richmond Barracks is a celebration of the autumn harvest. There will be a variety of stalls selling food, crafts, and other local produce. There are live music performances and activities for children. The fair is a free event, is open to everyone, and is dog-friendly too.

Eat the Streets - Saturday 16 September - 12 PM to 5 PM - Admission is free

Eat the Streets is a family-friendly festival celebrating Dublin's food culture. There will be a variety of food stalls, cooking demonstrations, workshops, and talks. The festival strongly focuses on sustainability and education and aims to raise awareness of the importance of local food.

Dublin Festival of History - From Monday 25 September - All events are free

Join us in celebrating history in all forms, from archaeology to literature, politics to popular culture. The festival features over 195 in-person and online events, including talks, debates, tours, workshops, and family activities.
