A Little Idea

Ali is a Designer and Maker from Dublin, creating laser-cut acrylic statement jewellery and other handcrafted accessories.

Her designs are inspired by decades past; each pair of dangly earrings is called after fashion icons. Her handcrafted jewellery is full of colour with pops of neon, very lightweight, unisex and fun to wear.

Using greencast acrylic where possible and other recycled materials such as discarded industrial brass, Ali keeps her brand and styles as sustainable as possible.

Her collection of headbands is made with organic cotton and vintage fabrics. Her designs have been nominated for awards and featured in TV and print media. Her work is stocked in many beautiful independent stores.

Aii Candle Craft

Aii Candle Craft

Welcome Welcome

My name is Samantha and I'm Chandler. This is my craft.

What is a Chandler, in simple terms a maker and seller of wax products, i.e. candles.

The word is derived from the French word Chandelier.

My company name is:  Aii Candle Craft, Aii is a direct Chinese translation for the word “Love”

So the literal translation would be Love Candle Craft!

All our products are all handmade with the highest quality wax sourced around Europe.

Our aim is to educate the general public into all the different types of waxes that make up a candle or wax product.

We strive to keep our products sustainable by using Soy and Beeswax.

Soy and Beeswax is a biodegradable and renewable resource, making it a much more environmentally friendly choice than paraffin wax.

We sell a large variety of wax products, predominantly candles with a large range of different scents and colour combinations. The choice and style is pretty much endless with each individual product completely unique and tailored to our client.

Crafty By Nature

Crafty By Nature

Amanda is a designer/crafter/crazy-dog-lady based in Dublin 8. She specialises in upcycling part vintage tea sets into luxury candles and one-of-a-kind mosaics.

“I never met a teacup I didn’t like! I take the well-loved pieces - the chipped, the broken and the cracked… the favourite cups with the gilding loved off. I remake them into something pretty and special!”

Being particularly blessed with clumsy friends and family and having a near obsession with mooching around charity shops gives Crafty by Nature a lot of material to work with.

Our first principle is that the most sustainable way to upcycle vintage china to suit modern living is to reimagine it by changing it as little as possible.

Vintage tea cups and saucers are reimagined as soy candles that are vegan, eco-friendly and can be used again as teacups once the candle has burnt out.

Cracked, chipped and broken china is hand-cut into mosaic tiles and combined with recycled art glass for mosaics inspired by the magic of nature and folklore. Each piece is meticulously crafted and unique.

Crafty by Nature also combines other handmade items - silk-lined sleep masks and aromatherapy pillow sprays to make relaxing gift sets.

And the crazy-dog-lady part? 10% of all proceeds will go to Dogs In Distress - a fantastic charity that rescues dogs, gives them a soft place to land with a kind foster family and places them in a loving forever home. Crafty by Nature loves dog-friendly markets and always brings treats for furry friends!

Just for Today

Just for Today

Just for today is an empowering affirmation book series by Irish writer Maria Colgan. There are two books in the collection so far "Just for today...I will love myself" and "Just for today...I will be brave".

Just for today...I  will love myself is a powerful affirmation book about self-love. Given that 85% of the global female population and 87% of young Irish girls between the ages of 10 and 17 suffer with low self-esteem this is an ideal book to teach women and girls how to love themselves. The affirmations are simple and the message is clear. When said often enough the words in this book have the power to reprogramme your subconscious mind to love yourself and hold yourself in high regard.

Just for today...I will be brave is a powerful affirmation on facing your fears, finding courage and being brave. Fear is a powerful emotion that has the power to cripple you and stifle your dreams, but you have the power to control this emotion and find a way forward. This book will give you the right words to face your fears and follow your heart. When the words from it are said often enough you will find yourself acting brave in situations you never thought you would.
